The TwinWater Story

Every Sunday morning, you'll find me at the boat ramp. A couple nights a week I'm fishing the Bridge and there is always at least one or two rods rigged up and ready in the back of my truck. Fishing is my therapy, my grounding.

I love to fish alone but I also love to fish with company, ranging from seasoned anglers to absolute beginners. I prefer to fish with artificials while many prefer live bait. They all serve a purpose.

The waters in Southwest Florida change daily. The fish move around constantly, salinity levels are always changing. The environment and underwater landscape is challenging (let's not even talk about the sharks and porpoise) but when that fish hits, I love every second of it. Thanks to this ever changing environment, you need to adjust your approach, your style and most importantly, your bait.

For years I stuck to my go-to lures. They worked, until they didn't. So I started digging, testing cheaper options that disappointed, losing expensive ones in the mangroves, finding something I loved only to never find it again. I wanted something different. Something reliable that I could depend on and trust.

That sent me down a years long rabbit-hole. Late nights in the garage, 4am deep dives into mold makers, plastic formulations, colorants, additives, I was a man on a mission. The neighborhood mad scientist everyone loves to visit to check out what I’ve come up with next.

Once I had a formula I believed in, I started shipping to my friends in and out of state, handing out lures to strangers at the bridge. My mission was simple: make something I'd love, my friends would love and something my wife and my three-year old could use to catch fish too. And you know what, everyone was catching fish with them. Being out fished by my wife and watching my son catch his first Snook on one of my lures were two of my proudest fishing experiences in my life.

The best part of living in Southwest Florida is the fisheries are so diverse and opportunity is endless. We fish the ponds in our communities, lakes on the sides of the road, rivers, diversion canals, parks, mangrove lines, beaches, salt and brackish canals, inshore flats, nearshore crab pots, offshore - if it’s water, we fish it. I needed a lure that could keep up with all of it. Our lures have caught Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass, Snook, Redfish, Sea Trout, even Tarpon and tons more, holding up to the fight and going back in for more.

That’s how TwinWater Lure Co. was born. Field tested, angler approved, built for every kind of water and everyone who fishes it.
